Email between USaid and GEGI and QEDN

I am attaching email we had with USAid showing we have been approved by Usaid in Washington DE and that we have been forward to the office in Bogota Colombia. Yesterday we had our first official meeting in Bogota., Colombia.

It is impossible to show up on any government database now. Even is we signed a contract tomorrow with USAid it will take at least 90 days to get into the system and show up on any database.

It Is possible we will be subcontractors of Chemonics and Oro Legal. They are already contractos of USaid.

Dear Mrs. Mia Gregory

The second proposal we submitted is not the same than the first proposal because we are working in a different region. The second proposal is for the area of Choco that has more than 40,000 hectares of coca leaves plants. This is the biggest area in Colombia and the world of Coca leaves plants. I am attaching the document in Spanish and English of the community affected that has agree to work with us in this project.

The pilot project is for 2,300 hectares and then growing to 55,000 hectars.

This Afro-Colombian community has received their land back from the Colombian government and is working with the community to the following:

1. Help farmers to go back to their land

2. They have allowed a camp of ex-Farc fighters to stay in their land and find jobs in the community

3. The work with farmers to do voluntary substitution.

Since we are very aware the funds for projects in Colombia are limited we are requesting USAID guarantee for $195,000,000 USD.

At the moment, we have over 5,000 farmers in Corinto

10,000 displace victim in Choco

3,500 of farmers already train in Sacha from Sacha Colombia with 81 leaders.

I am meeting with 14 leaders from the FARC area in Cauca all of them are very willing to do crop substitution instead of eradication and also they are ready to order to start a very intense crop substitution program but we need the funding to do this program.

For the USA government to show that the war on drugs is a success we need crop substation not eradication.

Our proposal target illegal mining by helping miners to became legal which we have been doing for several years already and it also helps farmers in the communities around the mining area to substituted illegal crops like (COCA leaves) to Sacha Inchi. The key crops in Colombia that is replacing illegal crops and providing a sustainable living for farmers.

We will like to know if USAID could review our proposal.

Currently we are working in the areas we are proposing and we have had 100% success in the areas and we will like to expand our project but we need the funds to expand our project
